Peptide Matrix Water – Premium stabilizing solution for peptides - 10 ml

What is Peptide Matrix Water™ 10 ml?

Peptide Matrix Water™ is a premium stabilizing solution designed for professional reconstitution of complex, lyophilized peptides. It is not an ordinary solvent, but an advanced protective matrix with a multi-component stabilizing system that maintains an optimal environment for the most sensitive molecules — from GLP-1 analogs to HGH fragments.

Peptide Matrix Water™ belongs to the category solutions for peptides and is Peptology's recommended premium solvent — the broadest range of applications and the longest reconstituted-peptide stability among the available solutions.

Why it's our number-one choice: unlike ordinary water, which mainly provides sterility, Peptide Matrix Water™ actively protects the peptide structure — it buffers pH, limits denaturation and aggregation, and extends the solution's lifespan up to 60 days. It is the "next level" in caring about research quality.

Available in a 10 ml pack (a reusable premium formula), intended exclusively for scientific research and laboratory use.

Variant and formula: 10 ml (4-component system)

Peptide Matrix Water™ is offered in a 10 ml volume — a reusable premium formula. Its heart is an advanced, four-component stabilizing system.

VOLUME

10 ml of a reusable premium formula, laboratory grade.

TECHNOLOGY

pH buffers + mannitol + surfactants + preservative.

STABILITY

Up to 60 days in the refrigerator +2 °C to +8 °C after reconstitution.

4-component protection technology

The advantage of Peptide Matrix Water™ stems from four cooperating components, each of which protects the peptide at a different level.

BUFFER SYSTEM

NaH₂PO₄ / Na₂HPO₄ maintain a stable pH — key to preventing chemical degradation.

MANNITOL

A protective agent that reduces denaturation of peptide molecules.

PEG 600 + TWEEN 80

Improve solubility and prevent peptides from "sticking together" (aggregation).

m-CRESOL

A strong preservative that limits microbial growth for greater safety.

What this means for your results

The combination of these components translates into three real benefits: long-lasting activity (peptides retain their potential much longer), minimal risk of loss (a lower chance of denaturation or loss of effect) and solution stability even during long working cycles. This makes Matrix Water a universal choice for most protocols — from standard to the most demanding.

In the category solutions for peptides, three main solvents are available. Peptide Matrix Water™ stands out for its active, multi-component protection and the longest stability.

Peptide Matrix Water™ (this page)
★ RECOMMENDED BY PEPTOLOGY
Bacteriostatic water Acetic acid 0.6%
pH environment ~7 (actively buffered) ~7 (neutral) ~3 (acidic)
Protection from denaturation Yes (mannitol) No Partially (via pH)
Prevention of aggregation Yes (PEG 600 + Tween 80) No Limited
GLP-1 / GIP peptides Recommended Yes Not recommended
Stability after opening ~60 days ~28 days ~14 days

Peptide Matrix Water™ is our recommended choice for most peptides — the broadest application and the longest stability. Bacteriostatic water is the economical neutral standard, and acetic acid 0.6% is a specialist option for hard-to-dissolve peptides. The comparison is based on formulation characteristics and does not constitute a clinical comparison.

Which peptides it's best for

Peptide Matrix Water™ works well for most research peptides, and especially for sensitive molecules that require active protection:

For peptides that dissolve well in water, the economical bacteriostatic water also works, and for molecules that require an acidic pH — acetic acid 0.6%.

How to use — peptide reconstitution

Standard laboratory practice when reconstituting lyophilized peptides with Peptide Matrix Water™:

  • Disinfect the vial caps and the work surface with 70% alcohol; wear gloves
  • Measure the appropriate volume of Peptide Matrix Water™ with a calibrated precision pipette (100–1000 µL)
  • Add the solvent slowly down the wall of the peptide vial — do not direct the stream at the powder
  • Wait 10–15 min, gently swirling the vial between your palms. Do not shake (foam → denaturation)
  • Check visually: the solution should be clear, free of particles
  • Calculate the concentration (mg/mL) and the volumes (max. 3 mL per standard peptide vial) in the peptide calculator

Storage and shelf life

Due to its stabilizer content, Peptide Matrix Water™ requires simple but important rules:

  • Before opening: in a cool place, protect from direct sunlight
  • After opening: store in the refrigerator +2 °C to +8 °C
  • Stability of the reconstituted peptide: up to 60 days in the refrigerator +2 °C to +8 °C under appropriate conditions
  • Freezing: not recommended — freeze/thaw cycles degrade the peptide structure
  • Inspection: do not use if cloudy, discolored or containing particles

Frequently asked questions

What is Peptide Matrix Water™?

It is a premium stabilizing solution — an advanced protective matrix with a four-component system (pH buffers, mannitol, PEG 600 + Tween 80, m-cresol) that keeps peptides stable and active much longer than ordinary solvents.

Why is it better than ordinary water / bacteriostatic water?

Standard solvents mainly provide sterility. Peptide Matrix Water™ additionally protects the peptide structure actively — it buffers pH, limits denaturation and aggregation. It was created for molecules too delicate for ordinary solutions.

Which peptides is it for and how to store it?

It is suitable for most peptides, and especially sensitive ones: GLP-1/GIP and triple agonists (Retatrutide), HGH fragments and IGF-1. Store in a cool place, and after opening in the refrigerator +2 °C to +8 °C — the reconstituted peptide retains stability for up to 60 days.

When to choose acetic acid or bacteriostatic water instead of Matrix Water?

You would choose acetic acid 0.6% for peptides that require an acidic pH (e.g. IGF-1, MGF), and the economical bacteriostatic water for simple, water-soluble peptides. For most applications, however, we recommend Peptide Matrix Water™.

Quick reference

Parameter Value
Form Sterile solution (liquid solvent)
Solvent Peptide Matrix Water
Reconstitution volume 1–3 mL — maximum 3 mL (capacity of the standard vial)

What you need

Precision pipette

Calibrated, 100–1000 µL — for accurately measuring the volume of solvent added to the vial.

70% alcohol swabs

Two swabs — to disinfect the peptide vial and the solvent vial.

Peptide Matrix Water

Stabilized solvent for lyophilized peptides. Why this one.

Five rules for reconstitution

✅ Correct ❌ Mistake
Disinfect the vial caps and the work surface with 70% alcohol; wear gloves Working without disinfection
Add the solvent slowly along the vial wall Direct jet onto the powder — foaming and denaturation
Gentle rolling between the palms Shaking — foam, which denatures peptides
10–15 minutes waiting at room temperature Mechanical mixing or heating
Visual check: clear, particle-free Working with a cloudy or discolored solution

Calculating concentration

⚠️ Maximum 3 mL solvent. The standard vial does not accommodate larger volumes — do not exceed during reconstitution.

  • Concentration (mg/mL) = mg in the vial ÷ mL of solvent
  • Volume per sample (mL) = amount per sample (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL)
  • 1 mg/mL = 1 µg/µL · 1 mL = 1000 µL

👉 For any vial and solvent volume — use the calculator. It calculates the concentration (mg/mL, µg/µL) and the volume per sample (mL, µL).

Storage

BEFORE RECONSTITUTION

Room temperature, protected from direct light, in original packaging. Refrigerator not required.

AFTER RECONSTITUTION

+2 °C to +8 °C, up to 60 days with Peptide Matrix Water. Discard any remainder after this period.

FREEZING

Not recommended. Freeze/thaw cycles degrade peptide structure.

Four mistakes to avoid

1. Shaking "to dissolve faster"

Foam = denaturation. Only gentle rolling between the palms.

2. Inappropriate solvent

For peptide stability use only sterile, specially formulated solvent — recommended Peptide Matrix Water.

3. Ignoring slight turbidity

Not fully clear = the sample does not meet the criteria for use.

4. Taking it out of the refrigerator "for an hour–two"

Short exposures add up and compromise stability.
