Frequently Asked Questions

What are research peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids (2–50). Peptology supplies synthetic peptides in lyophilized form exclusively for laboratory and in vitro research. They are not medicines and are not intended for human or veterinary use.

What is the purity, and where can I find the certificate of analysis?

Every batch is tested by HPLC and mass spectrometry (MS), and purity is above 99%. The certificate of analysis (CoA) for the current batch is on each product page, in the “Laboratory Analysis” tab.

What does the order include?

You receive the sealed vial containing the lyophilized powder. The solvent (Peptide Matrix Water, bacteriostatic water or 0.6% acetic acid) is sold separately in the Solutions for peptides category.

What does reconstitution in the laboratory mean?

Reconstitution means dissolving the lyophilized powder in a sterile solvent to obtain a solution of known concentration. The solvent is added slowly against the wall of the vial, without shaking, and the solution is left for 10–15 minutes at room temperature. You can calculate the concentration (mg/mL) with the Peptide calculator.

How are peptides stored before reconstitution?

For short periods, for example during transport, room temperature is suitable. For long-term storage, a refrigerator (2–8 °C) or a freezer (−20 °C) is recommended, in the original packaging and protected from light and moisture.

How is the solution stored after reconstitution?

In the refrigerator, at +2 to +8 °C. Stability depends on the solvent: up to 60 days with Peptide Matrix Water and up to 28 days with bacteriostatic water. Freezing is not recommended, because freeze–thaw cycles degrade the peptide.

How do I place an order?

Add the products to your cart and complete your order – no registration is required. You will receive a confirmation email and, as soon as the parcel has been dispatched, a tracking number by SMS and/or email.

How quickly is my order shipped?

Orders placed by 15:00 on working days are dispatched the same day (later orders on the next working day) and delivered by GLS to your address within 3–5 working days. We deliver to Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain. Shipping costs €5 and is free on orders from €50.

What payment methods do you offer?

Secure card payment (Visa / Mastercard) on the payment page when you place your order, or bank transfer in advance: right after the order you receive our bank details and a QR code; please transfer within 7 days and upload your bank's payment confirmation – we ship as soon as the money has arrived. Cash on delivery is not available.

Can I return an order?

Yes, within 14 days of receipt, provided the vial is unopened and in its original packaging. Opened vials cannot be returned for quality reasons. Details are in our Terms and Conditions.
